December 7th- Dad left for first deployment. Came home one month early :)
March 22nd- Felt first tooth coming in. Teething hasn't been too bad. Little fussy at times. Orajel and Motrin do the trick.
March 28th- First green beans. He loved them. Haven't found a food he won't eat.
April 30th- Said his first word..."DaDa". One day before Dada left for Spain. So happy he was able to be here!
May 1st- Dad left for Spain. Came home May 27th.
June 10th- Officially crawled for the first time. It happened while we were in Texas. Uncle Ryan and Aunt D were there to witness it with Mom. Let the fun begin!
June 14th- Began to wave bye bye.
June 24th- Finally said "MaMa"! Yay!
June 25th- Clapped on his own.
June 25th- Nine month check up. 24 lbs 12 oz (96%); 30 3/4 in (97%); 46 1/2 cm (75%)
July 6th- Top two teething starting to come in. Just in time for Daddy to see. Daddy left for his second deployment today :(
July 16- First trip to the ER. Febril seizure w/ a temp of 104.9. Found slight ear infection and maybe the beginning of a UTI. Let's not repeat this memorable moment please.
July 20th- (10 months) Follow up visit for ER trip. Weighs 25.57 lbs and measures 30 inches long.
July 28th- Stood alone. Thanks to Skype, Dad witnessed this event from very far away. I'm beginning to think he saves his big moments for his Dada.
August 19th- Began walking with his walker. Walking is right around the corner...hope he waits for Daddy to come home.
August 30th- Dr appointment for possible ear infection. In the words of Dr. Banfield "You can't fix what's not broken". So, chalk it up to teething...again. We got the usual treatment "He is so big and not even a year old" (26.6 pds). That's our boy!
September 8th- Standing alone for extended period of time.
September 17th- And he's off! Walked for the first time. He casually took off like he has been doing it for years. I'm glad I was there to catch it. He walked from his walker to his ottoman and then did it twice more that evening. 5 days before his first birthday! Go Bryson Go!
September 24th- (12 months) 26 lbs 14 oz (95%); 321/2 inches (98%); 47 3/4 cm (85%). Molars beginning to show through the gums.
November 28th- Figured out how to open the back door and proceeded to walk out on the deck and attempt to go down the stairs. I heard him crying and found him a few steps from the bottom. Although there were a lot of tears, no bumps, bruises, or scratches. Scary moment for Mom and Dad.
December 12th- First accident invloving blood. We are trying to teach B the best way to get down the stairs. Even though I've been teaching him the "bottom scooting method", Dad decided to try the "belly sliding method". This ended with B hitting his chin on the stairs and cutting his mouth with his teeth. Very traumatic.
What a good boy!!
