All I Want For Christmas…

I can’t begin to tell you how long I have been waiting for these 2 top teeth to come in! I feel like it has been an extremely long process (hence the bib in EVERY picture…his drooling is out of control). Every time they start making any progress…they stop. They are finally poking through and I am very excited. I’m sure once these are done, we will just start the whole process over again. (these puppies better come in way before Christmas!)

Good Morning!

Since I have been visiting Texas, Bryson and I are sharing a room at my parent’s house. I find myself tip-toeing around in fear of waking him up. There have been several nights he decides to wake up  and want to play around 11:00. He talks to me from his crib until I finally give in to his cuteness. However, I end up regretting it in the morning when he decides to wake up way too early. This is the precious face I wake up to…staring straight at me.

Hello?

According to Bryson, everything is a telephone. He puts anything he can find to his hear and yells. Travis says I am obviously on the phone too much.phone2 (1) phone2 (2) phone3

Sneak Peek

Bryson had his pictures taken this past week. I had been wanting this photographer to photograph him for a while. She lives in Galveston, so I was excited when we finally made it work. These are just a few pictures she posted early for me…a little tease of what’s to come. I can’t wait to see the rest next week.

Follow Up

Bryson had is follow up appointment this afternoon. Everything checked out fine. He has been on an antibiotic since last Friday, so any small infection he could have had is probably already taken care of. The nurse did ask him to STAND on the scale so she could get his height. I had to nicely tell her he is younger than he looks. He weighs 25.5 lbs and is 30 inches.

They took FOREVER, so we didn’t feel bad when Bryson tore up the room.

He is a drool monster right now.

Where’s Dad?

Bryson and I Skype with Travis almost every day. Now every time I turn on my computer he automatically thinks Dad is going to pop up. As soon as the computer turns on, he stops what he is doing and stares at the screen. I think he gets a little confused when he doesn’t come. It is so cute! He really misses his Dad but it makes me feel good knowing he isn’t forgetting about him. He loves talking to Travis on the computer and will even listen to him talk on the phone. It’s just about the only time I can get him to sit still.

Baby Steps

I finally put Bryson in his crib today for nap time. We will see what happens tonight. Would is be strange if he slept with me until he was at least 10? He is spending the day with his Aunt Amy, Aunt Anna and cousin Emily. I’m slowly calming down and trying to relax. However, I will admit the fact that Aunt Anna is a nurse and Aunt Amy might as well be one does make me feel a little better…baby steps for Mom.

Hospital Visit

Bryson scared his Mama to death last Friday. To make a LONG story short, he had a febrile seizure. I was at a friends house and I noticed he didn’t feel well. I was holding him when he began to seize and quickly turned blue. It was the scariest moment of my life. We called 911 and I followed the instructions of the operator until the paramedics arrived (which seemed like forever). They quickly put him on a stretcher, took his vitals, and we were off to the ER. His temp was 104.9 so they covered him with ice packs on the way.  Luckily, my in-laws were close by and arrived quickly. I frantically called my parents and they rushed to New Braunfels as fast as they could. My father-in-law was waiting for us right when we stepped out of the ambulance. It was a sense of comfort I so needed at that moment. They did a chest x-ray, blood work, and cathed him for a urine sample. He had slight inflammation in his left ear and showed very slight signs of a UTI. Nothing that explained such a high fever. We were released when his fever was back to normal. He is on an antibiotic and Tylenol/Motrin every 2 hrs. We have an appointment with a pediatrician on Tuesday. He has slept with me every night since (something I swore I would never do). I’ve been watching him like a hawk and over-analyzing everything, I’m sure. I hope to NEVER experience those feelings again.

He still managed to find the strength to eat :)

Talking to Dad. I know it doesn’t look like it, but this was a smile. First and only time he smiled all night.

Beach Bum

Bryson’s first trip to the beach was a success! He loved the water and couldn’t get enough of the sand.  I apologize in advance for the massive amount of pictures.

First snow cone was a bust. He didn’t like it at all.

I live in fear of Bryson getting a sunburn…hence the dorky hat.
