It seems like a lot has happened since Travis left for this deployment. Bryson went to the beach for the first time, we had our first visit to the emergency room, and my Nonnie passed away. It is hard enough being away from loved ones, but this deployment seemed to drag on. Travis was suppose to be home two weeks earlier, but was surprised with the news that he had been extended. The day your husband leaves is when the countdown begins. We look forward to a specific date for a long time and when that date changes, two weeks can seem like an eternity. However, yesterday he came home! Bryson has been going through a shy stage, so I was a little nervous how he would react to his Dad. However, he lunged for him as soon as he saw him. It’s moments like that that make the wait so worth it!
Loading the bus to go to the flight line.
Here he comes! Travis flew the jet home so watching him land was extra special.
Parking…
Finally!!!!
I wanted to catch Bryson’s reaction when he first saw his Dad. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Trav’s parents drove all night to welcome him home.
We are so very proud of you Travis! We Love You!
That is wonderful and a day before Bryson's Birthday...couldn't get any better!
